Adam Hernandez is an electric/acoustic guitarist from the Miami, FL area, now based in Boulder, CO. He specializes in Jazz, Rock/Blues, and other contemporary styles.
He later on became interested in Jazz, after listening to the legendary guitarist Wes Montgomery, and decided to pursue music as a career. He gained his playing experience while completing a performance degree in 2014 at Miami-Dade College Kendall Campus, and playing gigs around Miami with the group JazzMonkeys, at venues such as CocoWalk, The Village Chalet @ Cauley Square, Coconut Grove Sailing Club, and Biscayne Commons. While at Miami-Dade, he studied under the highly regarded eight string guitarist, Tom Lippincott. Adam then received a scholarship to transfer to the Frost School of Music at University of Miami, where he studied Performance with world renowned faculty members such as guitarist John Hart, pianist Martin Bejerano, and studied arranging with Grammy-Award Winner Gary Lindsay. Adam also played in the award winning Frost Salsa Orchestra, directed by Alberto De La Reguera, and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors in May 2016.
Currently, Adam spends his time composing and performing music for mainly the Jazz, Blues and Pop Genres.
Adam has also been teaching out of his home studio, complete with professional recording setup for three years, teaching guitar in multiple styles, music theory, ear training and production.
