
BIOGRAPHY
Adam Hernandez is a musician who grew up in Miami, FL who is now residing in Nashville, TN. He is an active singer/songwriter, as well as guitarist specializing in pop/rock and contemporary styles.
He gained his playing experience while completing a performance degree in 2014 at Miami-Dade College Kendall Campus, and playing gigs around Miami. While at Miami-Dade, he studied under the highly regarded eight string guitarist, Tom Lippincott. Adam then received a scholarship to transfer to the Frost School of Music at University of Miami, where he studied performance with world renowned faculty members such as guitarist John Hart, pianist Martin Bejerano, and studied arranging with Grammy-Award winner Gary Lindsay. Adam also played in the DownBeat award winning Frost Salsa Orchestra, directed by Alberto De La Reguera, and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors in May 2016.
Adam completed his Master's Degree in Jazz Performance and Pedagogy in May 2020, from the University of Colorado at Boulder, while playing gigs around the Denver/Boulder area.
In 2020, he relocated to Dallas, TX, where he maintained an active guitar teaching studio and began his journey into songwriting, playing gigs around the Dallas area.
Most recently, in June 2025, Adam has relocated to Nashville TN, and immediately began actively performing at venues in the Nashville area such as Bluebird Cafe, Honeytree Meadery, and Commodore Grille.
His background in jazz gives Adam a wide, sophisticated palette of sounds that he uses in his music, while his love of pop simultaneously keeps it simple, relatable, and fun.
